Helen Frankenthaler (1928-2011). Lithograph on handmade French paper titled “A Slice of the Stone Itself.” Signed, dated 1969, and numbered 3/24 along the lower right. Inscribed “60” and “6730” in pencil along the verso. A Dayton’s Gallery 12 label is adhered to the verso.

Provenance: Dayton’s Gallery 12, Minneapolis, Minnesota, purchased 1970; Private collection, Minnesota

Artist: Helen Frankenthaler, American, 1928-2011.

Dimensions: Sight; height: 18 1/4 in x width: 14 3/4 in. Framed; height: 24 1/2 in x width: 18 1/2 in.

Condition: Good condition. Undulation to the paper; one crease along the center, possibly from the printing process. A few small areas of discoloration.
