William Marple (1827-1910). Oil on canvas painting depicting Lake Pepin, Minnesota. Signed and dated 1879 along the lower right. Inscribed along the verso in the artist’s hand: “Foggy morning on Lake Pepin, Minnesota, painted out of doors by William Marple.”

Condition: Good condition, craquelure, recently revarnished and cleaned. The frame has some minor losses.
