Framed military promotion document signed by Andrew Jackson. This document, signed on October 26, 1836, by President Andrew Jackson and Secretary of War Benjamin F. Butler is to confer the promotion to First Lieutenant in the Seventh Regiment of Infantry to Gabriel R. Paul. The document is mounted alongside an engraving of Andrew Jackson.

Condition: Generally good, some wear consistent with age and some losses to seal.
