Description
A very rare and fine Chinese celadon double gourd vase. This vase comprised of a double gourd form with garlic head top and bulbous bottom. The handles terminate in ruyi head applied finials. The bottom bears no mark. The footrim is well finished and exhibits careful control of the glaze. Formerly in the collection of James Graham, owner of Graham Gallery (1915 – 1991).
