Two Pre-Columbian ceramic human figures. One Guangala male figure (500 B.C.E.-500 C.E.); one Jamacoaque female figure (c. 500 C.E.).

Provenance: Gangala figure purchased by Howard Nowes Ancient Art, N.Y.; purchased by present owner from Fernandez Leventhal Gallery, NY, in 2001. Jamacoaque held in a NY private collection before being purchased by current owner from an Art Primitivo auction in 2001.

Dimensions: Jamacoaque female; height: 8 1/2 in x width: 5 in x depth: 3 in. Guangala male; height: 9 1/4 in x width: 3 1/2 in x depth: 3 in.

Condition: Wear consistent with age.
