Description
Four Pre-Columbian ceramic female figurines, including: one Nayarit figure (100 B.C.E.-250 C.E.); one Diquis seated figure (1000-1500 C.E.); one Moches figure (400-700 C.E.); and one Nayarit Chinesco (100-250 C.E.).
Provenance: Nayarit figure purchased by current owner from Neil Becker of New World Antiquities, West Harrison, NY. Chinesco purchased by Clifford Baker in AZ; entered William Schneider’s personal collection in 1980; purchased by current owner from Primitive Art, Carlsbad, CA in 2002 at the Ethnological Antique Show in Santa Fe, NM.
Dimensions: Heights range from 3 1/2 in to 7 1/4 in. Widths range from 2 in to 4 1/2 in. Depths range from 2 in to 2 3/4 in.
Condition: Generally good condition; some wear consistent with age.
