Auguste Henri Musin (Belgian, 1852-1923). Oil on canvas marine painting titled “Scheveningue (Holland.)” depicting boats coming to shore with ships in the background, 1876. Signed and dated along the lower right. Musin was one of the most prominent marine artists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His father, Francois Etienne Musin was also a highly noted marine painter. He was awarded an honorable mention at The Paris Salon.
