Independent Appraisal Services

Insurance Coverage

Make sure your fine art and antiques are properly covered by your insurance by getting a professional art appraiser in St. Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota to value your collection. Our certified appraisal reports are accepted by all insurance companies and are written in conformity with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). Our insurance art appraisal reports include images of the objects as well as detailed information about them to ensure your treasures are properly cataloged and valued.

Insurance Claims

Whether you are an insurance adjuster or an individual who has suffered a loss to a piece or collection, we can write an insurance claim appraisal report for you. If your painting, print, sculpture or antique was lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed we can properly appraise the art or antique item or collection. Our art appraisals are incredibly thorough to help ensure the painting, antique, or collectible is properly valued. We also facilitate conservation of paintings, prints, sculpture, and antiques, so we can determine whether your art can be conserved after an insurance claim.

Estate Appraisal

Our estate appraisal reports will help determine the fair market value of art, antiques, jewelry and other objects for federal and state tax liability. Revere Auctions has professional, qualified art and antique appraisers who can evaluate the collection and determine which items have value and should be included in an appraisal report. We frequently work with estate attorneys, trusts, and individuals to appraise entire collections of paintings, furniture, antiques, jewelry, clocks, and household items. We also offer complimentary consultations to help families determine the best course of action in dealing with the objects in the estate.

Charitable Donation Appraisal

We will write an appraisal report that will ensure you receive a proper refund or deduction on your taxes from your donation to a charity. The IRS requires specific, up-to-date information for donation appraisals, so we make sure our reports are compliant with USPAP. Museums and institutions regularly recommend us to write appraisals for donations they receive.

Estimate of Value

If you are looking for something that is less formal, and are interested in selling your object, our complimentary estimate of auction value may be all you need. We regularly give our clients estimates of what we feel their object would sell for at our auction or estate sale in Minnesota. We research your object and use our expertise to determine a value. If the object isn’t a good fit for us, we can make recommendations of places that would be a better fit to sell it for you. This valuation cannot be used for insurance or donation purposes.
