Marilyn Powers (American, 1925-1976). Oil on canvas painting titled “Portimao” depicting an abstract colorful rendering of the port city of the same name in southern Portugal. Signed along the lower left. Powers was greatly influenced by French Impressionists and Post-Impressionists, with her works bearing a semblance to those of Henri Matisse.
