Mottahedeh & Company, New York, USA. Set of Nelson Rockefeller Collection porcelain service in the form of the Meissen Swan service designed by Johann Joachim Kandler (German, 1706-1775).

Includes one teapot, one sugar, one creamer, eight mugs, eight saucers, eight salad plates, eight luncheon plates, eight dinner plates, and eight service plates. Each piece is decorated with floral motifs along with a coat of arms. The teapot, creamer, and sugar are additionally decorated with figural handles in the form of dolphins with the teapot surmounted by a colorful snail and the sugar surmounted by a putti blowing a horn and riding the dolphin handle. The teapot is marked “Mottahedeh Vista Alegre Portugal” along the underside. All other pieces are marked “The Nelson Rockefeller Collection NR Reproduction of the unique Meissen Swan service designed and executed by J. J. Kandler Circa 1738 Mottahedeh Vista Alegre Portugal” along the underside.
