Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939). Series of four color lithographs on paper titled “Seasons,” 1897. This series, which depicts each of the four seasons as women, is one of several series Mucha created based on this theme. A decorative cartouche beneath each drawing includes the names of the seasons: Hiver, Printemps, Ete, and Automne. Each signed in the plate along the lower right.
