Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939). Series of four-color lithographs on paper titled “Seasons,” 1897. This series, which depicts each of the four seasons as women, is one of several series Mucha created based on this theme. A decorative cartouche beneath each drawing includes the names of the seasons: Hiver, Printemps, Ete, and Automne. Each signed in the plate along the lower right.
